Providing young people with life skills is at the heart of everything we do at Hesley Wood.  This also applies in our Shop.  For many of our young visitors our shop is their first experience of handling and being responsible for their own money.

Our shopping experience enables young people to use their maths skills, to calculate their purchases ensuring they can afford everything they have chosen, or learn about compromise by choosing what they want to put back when they haven’t got enough money.

It’s a challenge, for some it’s the challenge of spending every penny whilst other just want to make sure they don’t go over budget.

We reinvest our profits.

The success of our shop directly benefits all our customers as any profit that we make from the shop is reinvested back into the ongoing maintenance and development of the Centre for future visits.  So your Ice cream purchase today could contribute towards next years new adventure activities being introduced.

Location, Opening Times & Contact

Our main trading day is Sunday from 11am-4pm, but we can also open the shop midweek from Monday to Friday 9am-4pm (just call in at Reception).

If you are staying on site, we may be able to open at other times, please enquire at Reception.

However, for a more efficient service please place your order online and it can be posted out to you or be waiting in Reception for you to collect.

Our Team
